It's Sew Grateful Week over at Debi's place, and although I'm a bit late to the party, I didn't want to miss the chance to participate.
Since I found MY perfect sundress pattern last week, I've decided to give away these two patterns from my stash. They are so similar that I know I'll never use them, but don't want them to go to waste. Please take them! Please use them! Please tell me when you've used them so I can see how they look all made up (because I have absolutely no idea how that See & Sew can fit without a back closure).

Sorry for the craptastic photos, but I'm doing this at night with my pocket camera. Sigh. |
What am I grateful for? I was so surprised when I got my first comment on this blog from juebejue (@Petite Republic) because frankly, I didn't know anyone was reading it! I was doubly surprised when Angela (@Riange Creations) just up and sent me the long-coveted Simplicity 2591 when it was nowhere to be found in Montreal! I had to smile at being dubbed IAAT, a Leibster and a Versatile Blogger. I was so happy to be included in the cooler-than-cool NYC meetup last September; I felt like I was hanging with celebrities ;) And last but not least, I have to say a big thanks to everyone who reads, comments and gives advice here on this little blog. When you don't have crafty people in your daily life, it's nice to be able to virtually visit every evening over a cup of tea. Or sometimes something a bit stronger.
Edit: OK, so apparently I'm not the most organized poster, because I forgot to mention that I'll close this giveaway on midnight, Feb. 14th. Please let me know which one you'd like (or both). OK, now it's a bit more clear!
The sewing blogger community is pretty cool, isn't it? :) I'm not entering the giveaway, since I know this wouldn't be a flattering shape for my short-waisted frame. Just wanted to say 'hi'. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm constantly surprised how considerate everyone in this online community can be. I was close to losing my faith in humanity after reading anonymous comments that people leave below news stories and photos online...I started to lament that everyone was an illiterate, ignorant creep. Well, all of you have restored my optimism! :)
DeleteI love sundresses! Thanks for hosting this giveaway, I hope I'm not too late!
ReplyDeleteNope, in fact, you're the first one to bite! I forgot to post that I'll close the giveaway on Valentine's night, so there is still lots of time.
DeleteOh good, well in that case I hope I win!
DeleteHi , thank you for your generosity xx
ReplyDeleteIt was the least I could do, when I saw what everyone was doing to participate in Debi's plan.
DeleteI kinda love when people stop by and comment too... while a blog is really just an online diary, there's kinda this hope that someone will read it and as such, you (or at least I) tend to write as though I'm writing for an audience. It's nice when there actually IS one... I feel less crazy!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina from SW! I started to keep this blog so I could track my progress and keep a blogroll, but it's become a lot more.
DeleteI would love to receive either of these patterns! Am going on a holiday to Fiji in April and want to sew up some new sundresses! :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Thanks so much for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHey Emily, you won! Email me with your address, and I'll send it before I leave town next week.
DeleteFirst I love your writing style. I am sew grateful to the sewing community especially for the people who take the time to write tutorials. We have the perfect weather right now and I would love both patterns.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
Isn't it *always* the perfect weather for sundresses in Kenya? ;)
Deletehmm. i may hay to spike my morning coffee and have a wee toast to you....
ReplyDeletei was looking through photos last week, and laughed out loud at our sunday coffee pose.
When someone puts a camera in my face, I usually pull this weird kinda frowny-smile thing that reminds me of my father, so consider that hilarious coffee pose an improvement for me!
Delete(Don't worry about the toast; I already spiked my morning drink, but it was purely by accident: we usually water down our juice chez anothersewingscientist, so this morning I saw a glass of water at my place, poured some juice and took a big swig. gulp. aack. phlbt. That was gin, wasn't it? left over from last night. Great way to start the day.)
