CarmencitaB is coming to Quebec in August, and I'm itching for another Montreal Meet-up. Who's in?
We could meet either August 17th or August 24th. Let's hope for a good day so we can shop / swap / laze around outside somewhere with fruity drinks and fondle our fabrics. I'll message those whose emails I know / twitter / FB / etc. and for anyone else in the Montreal area, please don't be shy! We'd love to see you and we don't bite!
(Well, we bite threads when we can't find our snippers.)
Perhaps we can do a bit of this.....
....and a bit of this.....
...and a bit of this....
Leave a comment below about which day would work for you, and your blog / email / twitter / some way to contact you. See you then!
I'm thinking the 17th looks better for me...
ReplyDeleteI think the 17th was better for everyone, and mid-day works for most, so it looks like it may work! I've been travelling and blog-neglectful, but I'll get things organized and let everybody know.
DeleteHello! I wish I could join you this time! For me, the 17th works only if it is early (like 9-10am to 2pm) and the 24th is the best date! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHope you can still make August 17th mid-day drinks / shopping / swapping!
DeleteI'd love to see you again and do some more shopping. The 24th works for me but not the 17th.
ReplyDeleteBoo! Are you sure? Let me know if you can make the 17th.
DeleteI'll be on a road trip round Quebec over both those weekends, but hope you have fun (and less rain than last time!)
ReplyDeleteDamn! next time.
DeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteI'm ion for whichever day! :)
Great! It looks like 17th mid-day, but I'll post the details of where and when and what soon. Can you give me your contact info?
DeleteFun! Let me know if you'd like me to do up a button for you once you pick the date.
ReplyDeleteYes please! (see my comment below to Anne re: being completely html illiterate). I'll give you the details soon.
DeleteHey, I just created my own sidebar button for the map of the sewintists (To be seen on my blog partywoods.blogspot.de). Just e-mail me (anne.pieser@gmail.com), if you're interested and I'll send you the URL so other bloggers can get the button for their sidebars.
ReplyDeleteAnne
I've been out of touch for a few days, trying to recover from a long family road trip, but thank you! I'm completely html illiterate, so any help is greatly appreciated. I'll get in touch after work.
Deleteall right, just give me a shout, and I'll write a little "how to".
DeleteOh, from August 15-18th it is "La vente trottoir" on St-Hubert... No idea if this would means any kind of fabrics sale?!?
ReplyDeleteExcellent....more incentive.
DeleteWish I lived in Montreal :) and not New Brunswick. :)
DeleteI've been talking about making a trip to Montreal to fabric shop.
Would love to hear which shops you will go to on your meet up day!
That's a good idea Ann: we should make some notes of shop names and addresses, because we usually just go geographically and don't really pay attention to details! It would be a good resource for visitors that can't make meet-ups.
Deleteps: where are you in NB? I just spent a few days there on a road trip to NS.
Yes such a list of shops would be an excellent resource. Especially for those from out of town. I know I would truly appreciate it :)
DeleteI am just minutes outside of Fredericton. I just came back from a week end in Quebec City and sadly didn't have time to fabric shop :} NS is beautiful.
Have you ever visited Tissues Tania in Quebec city? Mpastinelli on Burdastyle told me about it.
DeleteI started a page (still under construction) on my embryo of a blog here : http://igloovert.blogspot.ca/p/fabric-shopping-in-montreal.html
DeleteFor now, it is mostly cut and paste of names/addresses I stumble upon... But I plan to make it an elaborate list of resources for class, fabrics, etc for Montreal...

ReplyDeleteNo, we all know each other from the last meet-up, from each other's blogs, or from my Map the Sewintists project: http://goo.gl/maps/mT12m
DeleteWe will probably be a nice manageable group of <10!
It seems it will be on Saturday August 17th - Let us know the where and when details and I will be there! :D Thank you! Caroline
ReplyDeleteHi V. Thank you for keeping me posted on this event! I'll gladly join you on the 17th and will be sure to check your blog to get more details.
